School of Economics and Management

The School of Economics and Management of FPNU was established in September 2014. There are 5 undergraduate majors, including Economics and Finance, International Economics and Trade, Financial Management, Marketing, Tourism Management and Service Education. In 2020, International Economics and Trade was selected as one of the first-class undergraduate majors in Fujian Province. At present, there are 74 teaching staff, including 8 with senior titles, 25 with associate titles, 15 doctors, 10 supervisors of master's degree and 1,650 students in total.

There are 5 projects of Ministry of Education for the integration of industry and education and collaborative education, 5 provincial projects for teaching and education reform and 4 provincial projects for innovation and entrepreneurship on education reform. There is 1 provincial experimental teaching demonstration center for economics and management, and 1 provincial virtual simulation teaching demonstration center. There are 10 laboratories on campus, including inter-disciplinary comprehensive simulation training, with instruments and equipment worth CNY 6.5 million. There are 46 practical training and practice bases outside the university, such as the Fuqing branch of China Minsheng Bank.

There are 4 scientific research institutions, including the Eco-Finance Research Center, the Institute of Management Science Research Center, the E-Commerce Research Center and the Regional Development Research Center, and a special think tank in cooperation with the local government of Fuqing, specializing in providing advice and policy recommendations for the local economic and social development of Fuqing and Southeast of Fujian. In recent years, it has received funding of over CNY 8.3 million.

Experts from various sectors are invited to join us as visiting professors, part-time professors and business mentors throughout the year to participate in the training of talents and teach some professional courses, achieving better teaching effect.    

In recent years, students have achieved excellent results in various professional competitions at national and provincial levels, including 1 third prize at the National "Challenge Cup" Competition and 2 first prizes at the Provincial "Challenge Cup" Competition of Fujian.

Standing on a new starting point, the School of Economics and Management will continue to focus on the guiding principle of building a high-level technical teacher training university with distinctive features, adhere to the characteristics of teacher training, serve the development of vocational education, make progress in the development of industry, learning, research and application, and continue to train high-quality applied, technically skilled and interdisciplinary talents for the construction of the local economy and the economic zone on the West Coast of the Taiwan Strait.
